WEST CHESTER, PA — The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department (WEGOPD), in collaboration with the West Chester Area School District (WCASD), is actively investigating a reported threat targeting Stetson Middle School. The threat was initially flagged through Safe2Say, a statewide program designed to report potential threats to schools.

Authorities have confirmed that the student identified as being responsible for the threat has been located and will not be present at school on Monday. Officials have stated that there is no active danger to the school, its students, or staff.

To support the safety and peace of mind of the school community, WEGOPD has announced additional police presence during morning drop-off and throughout the school day on Monday. These precautionary measures aim to reassure parents, staff, and students while the investigation continues.

The police and WCASD state they remain committed to ensuring the security of everyone on campus and have emphasized the seriousness with which threats of this nature are handled. Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses and more information becomes available.
