Terrifying Scene at Christiana Mall: Gunman Spotted, Investigation Ongoing!

NEWARK, DEDelaware State Police are conducting an investigation into a reported shots-fired incident that occurred outside Christiana Mall on Sunday evening.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on December 29, 2024, authorities responded to the parking lot of the shopping center, located at 501 Christiana Mall, following reports of possible gunfire. After evaluating the scene, officials determined that there was no active threat to public safety.

According to the preliminary investigation, an unidentified individual, described as a Black male, was seen in the parking lot near Macy’s reportedly brandishing what appeared to be a firearm. At the time of the incident, the mall was closed, and authorities confirmed that no injuries or victims were reported. Investigators are still working to determine whether any shots were fired during the event.

The identity of the suspect remains unknown. Law enforcement officials are currently reviewing evidence as part of their ongoing efforts to gather more details. Surveillance footage or related images have not yet been released.
