PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are searching for a man accused of robbing a Philadelphia Pretzel Factory and threatening an employee with a weapon.
On Sunday, March 30, 2025, at approximately 3:30 PM, an unidentified man entered the Philadelphia Pretzel Factory at 5600 N Broad Street. According to the complainant, the individual initially appeared to be a customer attempting to purchase pretzels. However, the situation quickly escalated when he allegedly brandished a box cutter, seized the employee, and demanded cash from the register.
The suspect reportedly removed all the money in the register before fleeing on foot toward the southbound subway entrance on Broad Street.
Investigators described the suspect as a middle-aged Black male who was wearing a dark blue shirt, blue pants, a green camouflage baseball hat, and tan and blue striped sneakers.
The Philadelphia Police Department is urging anyone with information about the suspect or the crime to come forward. Tips can be submitted directly to the Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353 or 215-686-3354. Anonymous tips can also be provided by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477). Authorities caution the public not to approach the suspect but to contact 911 immediately if they see him.
Police remind the community that all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
