WILMINGTON, DE — The Delaware State Police are investigating a reported road rage incident involving a firearm that occurred on I-95 in Wilmington on March 7, 2025.
The incident unfolded around 12:50 p.m. as a 48-year-old male driver was traveling on the Route 141 ramp to I-95 northbound. According to initial findings, the victim noticed a U-Haul box truck tailgating him. He applied the brakes, prompting the driver of the U-Haul to slow down before pulling up alongside the victim’s vehicle.
The two exchanged words when the suspect, described as an unknown Black male, allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim before speeding away. The victim was unharmed in the ordeal.
Authorities are continuing their investigation and are appealing to the public for help. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact Trooper J.
