EAST NANTMEAL TWP, PA — Authorities from the Pennsylvania State Police, Embreeville Barracks, are on the hunt for a suspect involved in an alleged two-vehicle head-on crash in East Nantmeal Township, Chester County. The incident occurred on 02/29/2024 on SR401 near Moores Road.
The suspect, identified as Jycir Talib Carrington, is reported to have fled the scene of the crash heading north. Prior to police arrival, it was reported via Chester County Radio that Carrington had warrants for his arrest related to two separate robbery allegations in Chester County in 2021 and 2023.
A subsequent search of the vehicle Carrington was allegedly operating revealed a stolen firearm and marijuana within his reach. Despite a thorough search of the surrounding wooded area, authorities were unable to locate Carrington.
Carrington is described as a 21-year-old black male, approximately 6’0″ tall, weighing 175 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He faces multiple charges including receiving stolen property, possession of a prohibited firearm, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault by vehicle, flight to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment, evading arrest or detention on foot, carrying firearms without a license, disregard of a single traffic lane, careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury, unsafe passing on the left, and failure to stop and render aid.
The Pennsylvania State Police urge anyone with information about Carrington’s whereabouts to contact the Embreeville Barracks at 610-486-6280 or anonymously contact the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers Toll Free at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (8477). Callers could be eligible for a cash reward for information leading to an arrest or the solving of a crime.
As the investigation continues, the details may change. It is important to remember that all allegations are merely accusations, and Carrington is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
