Suspect Caught in Shocking Wilmington Armed Carjacking – Loaded Gun and Stolen Car Recovered

WILMINGTON, DE — Following a thorough investigation, Wilmington Police have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with an alleged armed carjacking near East 2nd and North Lombard Streets.

The incident reportedly took place on February 13, at around 7:00 p.m. Authorities identified Kacey White as a suspect during their investigation. On February 18, at approximately 12:38 p.m., members of the Gun Intelligence Unit apprehended White without incident in the 200 block of Poplar Street.

After the arrest, police executed a search warrant in the same area, recovering a loaded 9mm handgun and a stolen vehicle.

White now faces multiple charges, including first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $150,000 cash-only bail.

Officials remind the public that all charges are allegations. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
