WEST CHESTER, PA — A routine traffic stop in East Bradford Township on March 25, 2025, resulted in the arrest of a Delaware man after officers discovered a stolen license plate on the vehicle he was driving.
The West Chester Police Department reported that the stop occurred at approximately 8:06 p.m. in the 400 block of North Wawaset Road. During the investigation, officers determined that the Delaware license plate displayed on the vehicle had been reported stolen.
The driver, identified as 35-year-old William Kilvington of Middletown, Delaware, was immediately taken into custody. Further examination of Kilvington’s record revealed an outstanding warrant against him in the state of Delaware, adding to the severity of the allegations.
Kilvington now faces a charge of receiving stolen property in connection with the stolen license plate. Authorities have not disclosed details about the circumstances surrounding the reported theft of the plate.
Law enforcement officials emphasize that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
