Shots Fired at Late-Night Car Meet in Bear – Police Seek Suspect

BEAR, DEDelaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at a car meet in Bear late Saturday night, leaving attendees shaken but no injuries reported.

The incident took place on April 27, 2025, at approximately 12:23 a.m., at a warehouse complex on the 2400 block of Bear Corbitt Road. According to early reports from authorities, the shooting appeared to have followed an argument between three teenage males and another group of individuals at the event.

During the altercation, one of the individuals allegedly produced a firearm. After the group of teens returned to their vehicle, the suspect reportedly fired multiple gunshots, some of which hit the vehicle. Fortunately, none of the occupants were injured.

The suspect is currently described as a light-skinned Black male, though further details about the individual have not yet been released.

Detectives from the Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit are leading the inquiry into the case. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. “We encourage members of the community to assist us in bringing clarity to this incident,” said investigators.
