PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are seeking information regarding an alleged stabbing incident that took place on December 4, 2024, outside a Save A Lot grocery store in the city’s Logan neighborhood.
Philadelphia Police reported that the incident occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. at 4424 North Broad Street, where a store security guard confronted an unidentified individual. The complainant, who was working as a security guard, is alleged to have asked the man several times to leave the front of the store. The verbal exchange escalated when the suspect reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the guard.
After the incident, the suspect fled the scene, heading north on Broad Street. The injured guard was treated for his wounds, although specific details about his condition were not immediately released.
The suspect has been described as a Black male, between 45 and 55 years of age, with a medium build and standing approximately 5’5”. He was reportedly wearing a hunter green jacket paired with camouflage pants, a gray hoodie, and tan boots. Police noted that the suspect is known to frequent the shopping complex where the incident occurred.
