POTTSTOWN, PA — A 22-year-old woman from Pottstown has been charged in connection with two cases of alleged road rage incidents in Chester County, according to the North Coventry Police Department. Kayla Bell is accused of pointing a handgun at other drivers during separate confrontations in July and August of 2024.

Investigators allege that the first incident occurred on July 24, 2024, near Route 422 East and Route 100. During this encounter, a white female driver, operating a black Ford Explorer, allegedly brandished a handgun at another motorist. Authorities were later called to a similar incident on August 18, 2024, in the area of Route 422 East and Hanover Street, where Bell was again accused of pointing a firearm at a different victim. Through an investigation, police identified Bell as the driver in both cases.

Bell is facing multiple charges related to these allegations, including four counts each of Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, and Possessing an Instrument of Crime. Following her arrest and subsequent hearings, both cases have been held for court in the Chester County Court of Common Pleas.

On November 21, 2024, Bell appeared before Magisterial District Judge Hipple, who set bail at $5,000 unsecured for both cases. A condition of her bail requires Bell to surrender all firearms and prohibits her from possessing them.

It is important to note that these charges are allegations. Bell is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Authorities continue to remind the public that any criminal complaint or arrest is not evidence of guilt.
