WEST CHESTER, PA — On the evening of November 11, 2023, West Chester Police Department responded to an incident involving a vehicle crashing into a front yard on the 400 block of W. Rosedale Avenue. The driver, identified as Theresa Vacca, a 57-year-old resident of West Chester, was allegedly found to be heavily intoxicated.
According to the West Chester Police Department, upon arrival at the scene, officers made contact with Vacca and subsequently took her into custody. She was processed on charges of driving under the influence and related offenses. This is not Vacca’s first encounter with law enforcement regarding such charges; she has five prior convictions for driving under the influence.
Vacca was transported to Chester County Prison following her arrest. Given her history of similar offenses, she is currently being held on a substantial cash bail of $175,000. A preliminary hearing is pending at District Court 15-1-04.
