Pregnant Woman Allegedly Attacked in Horrific Assault – Police Urgently Hunt for Suspect

Police News

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Authorities in Kennett Square are actively searching for a man accused of assaulting a pregnant woman during an alleged domestic violence incident earlier this week.

According to the Kennett Square Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Center Street on the evening of March 8, 2025, in response to a reported domestic violence case. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party and the victim, who claimed that she had been physically attacked by a male subject identified as Iran Ramirez-Vasquez, 22, of West Grove, Pennsylvania.

The victim, who is approximately six months pregnant, alleged that Ramirez-Vasquez struck her in the face and abdomen multiple times before fleeing the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival. Police observed that the victim appeared to be in visible distress and complained of sharp abdominal pains.

Citing the seriousness of the allegations, an arrest warrant for Ramirez-Vasquez was issued by an on-call judge on March 9, 2025. He is wanted on multiple charges, including aggravated assault of an unborn child, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment.

Ramirez-Vasquez is described as a 22-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Kennett Square Police Department at (610) 444-0501 or submit a tip online.

Officials have underlined that an arrest warrant is simply an accusation, and Ramirez-Vasquez is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
