PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities in Philadelphia are investigating a fatal shooting that left one individual dead in the early hours of Saturday, April 26, 2025. The Philadelphia Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance and announced a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
Officers from the 15th District responded to a radio call at approximately 1:22 a.m. reporting a “Person with a gun” in the 5000 block of Frankford Avenue. Upon their arrival, police discovered the victim in the driver’s seat of a blue Chevrolet Malibu. The victim, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, was transported to Temple University Hospital. Medical staff pronounced the individual deceased at 1:36 a.m.
The Philadelphia Police Department has not yet released the identity of the victim, and details surrounding the events leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or potential suspects to come forward.
