Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Newark Tobacco Outlet

NEWARK, DEDelaware State Police are conducting an investigation into an alleged armed robbery that took place Saturday morning at the Four Seasons Tobacco Outlet in Newark.

The incident occurred on January 25, 2025, at approximately 10:35 a.m. when an unidentified suspect reportedly entered the business located at 638 Plaza Drive. According to preliminary findings, the suspect, described as a Black male dressed in black clothing, is alleged to have jumped the counter, threatened an employee with a knife, and began taking tobacco products.

Before fleeing the scene, the suspect allegedly struck the employee. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, authorities confirmed.

Investigators with the Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit are actively pursuing leads in the case. At this time, surveillance footage and images of the suspect are not available.
