Police Hunt for Driver After Hit-and-Run Near Delaware Golf Range

WILMINGTON, DE — Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run incident involving a silver or gray Chevrolet Impala that occurred late Tuesday morning near the DelCastle Driving Range along Mill Creek Road.

According to the New Castle County Division of Police, officers were dispatched to the scene around 1:00 p.m. after receiving reports of the vehicle colliding with a utility pole. Witnesses indicated that the crash likely took place at approximately 11:30 a.m. The driver, described as a white male, managed to remove the damaged car from the scene before police arrived, possibly with the assistance of a towing service or other means.

While the incident was not reported by the driver, passersby were seen photographing the vehicle and the crash site. Police are now requesting help from the public to identify the driver and the circumstances surrounding the crash.
