Philadelphia Woman Arrested in Connection with Kennett Square Fraud Case

Arrest

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The Kennett Square Police Department announced the arrest of Angela Rosado, 34, of Philadelphia, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, following a traffic stop by an officer in Philadelphia. Rosado was subsequently transported to Chester County Prison by Kennett Square Police Department (KSPD) officers.

The arrest stemmed from a warrant issued by District Court 15-3-04 on March 6, 2024, after Rosado failed to appear at a preliminary hearing. The hearing was related to allegations of fraud reported on March 8, 2023, in the 300 Block of Marshall Street, Kennett Square Borough.

According to the initial report, the victim’s cell phone was stolen in Philadelphia approximately a month prior to the discovery of unauthorized financial transactions. Upon acquiring a new phone, the victim noticed three separate unauthorized transfers from their bank account, totaling $720. The transactions were allegedly facilitated using the CashApp application on the stolen device.

Further investigation, supported by the issuance of two search warrants, led authorities to conclude that the account receiving the unauthorized funds was registered to Angela Rosado. A criminal complaint was subsequently filed at District Court 15-3-04 on October 13, 2023.

The case highlights the increasing challenges and complexities surrounding digital theft and fraud, emphasizing the importance of cybersecurity measures for personal devices and financial accounts.

It is crucial to note that the arrest of Angela Rosado, like all legal proceedings, is based on allegations of criminal behavior. Rosado, as with any defendant, is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. As this case progresses through the judicial process, further details may emerge, potentially offering a clearer understanding of the events leading to Rosado’s arrest.
