WEST CHESTER, PA — the West Chester Police Department announced the arrest of a 58-year-old resident of Philadelphia for theft.
Jonathan McPherson has been charged with Retail Theft, Public Drunkenness, and Disorderly Conduct.
The criminal complaint alleges that on August 9, 2023, at approximately 5:00 PM, West Chester officers were dispatched to Tienda Mexicana, 229 W. Chestnut St., for the theft in progress. Upon the officer’s arrival, 58-year-old Jonathan McPherson of Philadelphia was observed in the doorway of the store with the stolen items in his hands. McPherson admitted to not paying for the items and was placed under arrest.
McPherson was transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment. A preliminary hearing is pending.
