Parkesburg Police Arrest Fugitive Wanted for Aggravated Assault in Alabama

PARKESBURG, PA — A fugitive wanted for an alleged aggravated assault with a firearm in Alabama has been apprehended by Parkesburg Borough Police following a traffic stop earlier this week.

On April 24, 2025, officers conducted a lawful traffic stop in the 100 block of West First Avenue. During the stop, authorities identified the driver as Jaqua Jarae Lacey and determined that he was a fugitive wanted in connection with a serious offense in Alabama. The alleged crime, which involves an aggravated assault with a firearm, is currently under investigation by law enforcement officials in that state.

Following his arrest, Lacey was taken into custody without reported incident and transported to Chester County Prison. Officials have confirmed that he is being held at the facility while awaiting extradition to Alabama, where he faces legal proceedings related to the alleged assault.

Parkesburg Borough Police have not released additional information about the circumstances of the traffic stop or Lacey’s connection to the alleged assault in Alabama.
