Oxford Police Capture Driver with DUI-Suspended License and Active Bench Warrant

OXFORD, PA — The Oxford Borough Police Department announced the arrest of 37-year-old Arely Tejada-Galo on an outstanding  Chester County Bench Warrant and driving on a DUI-suspended driver’s license.

The criminal complaint alleges that on July 18, 2023, at 1:34 am the Oxford Police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Blk North Third Street on a vehicle that was sitting stationary for several seconds at the flashing yellow traffic signal.  Contact was made with the operator, identified as 37-year-old Arely Tejada-Galo of Oxford.  After further investigation, it was determined that Tejada-Galo was operating on a DUI-suspended driver’s license and had an active Chester County Bench Warrant.

Tejada-Galo was placed into custody and subsequently turned over to Constables for transport to Chester County Prison.  A traffic citation for driving while DUI-suspended is expected to be filed.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
