OXFORD, PA — A local man has been arrested following a verbal altercation, announced the Oxford Borough Police Department.

Anthony Johnson, 23 years of age, has been charged with making Terroristic Threats, Criminal Trespass, and related offences.

The criminal complaint alleges that on August 30, 2023, the Oxford Police were dispatched to the area of the train tracks at South and Commerce Streets for a report of a domestic disturbance.  Officers arrived and made contact with 23-year-old Anthony Johnson of Oxford who was involved in a verbal domestic with a female family member. Johnson had made verbal threats to do harm to the victim after she discovered him ingesting narcotics.  Authorities say that Johnson had been previously warned by multiple Officers about trespassing on the railroad tracks and inside the train car.  Johnson was taken into custody which led to the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Johnson was taken into custody without further incident.

Johnson was released pending a preliminary hearing.

Information, a criminal complaint, or an arrest is not a declaration of guilt. A suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
