OXFORD, PA — The Oxford Borough Police Department announced the arrest of a 30-year-old Oxford man following a domestic disturbance.

Javier Bedolla-Barajas has been charged with Assault, Endangering the Welfare of Children, Harassment, and numerous other related criminal offenses.

The criminal complaint alleges that on August 20, 2023, at 12:07 pm the Oxford Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Broad Street for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the female victim who stated that 30-year-old Javier Bedolla-Barajas of Oxford had assaulted her and her four children and that Bedolla-Barajas had left the residence prior to the Officer’s arrival. The victim provided a detailed description of alleged physical assaults on her and the children that had occurred, starting the previous evening and not ending until she had called the Police. A search of the area was unsuccessful in locating Bedolla-Barajas.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., Officers from the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department (SCCRPD) received a tip that Bedolla-Barajas may be in a residence in West Grove Borough. SCCRPD Officers located Bedolla-Barajas and placed him into custody before transporting him to the Oxford Police Station.

Bedolla-Barajas was processed and turned over to Constables for transport to Chester County Prison where he was arraigned and held on a $150,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for September 12, 2023 at the Oxford District Court.
