OXFORD, PA — A 62-year-old Oxford man was taken into custody after a routine traffic stop led law enforcement officers to confirm his active arrest warrant from Maryland, according to the Oxford Police Department.
The arrest occurred on March 12, 2025, at approximately 11:15 a.m., during a traffic stop conducted in the 400 block of North Third Street. Officers made contact with the driver, identified as Angel Rivera, who was already known to authorities as having an active extraditable warrant in Maryland.
Rivera was placed under arrest and transported to the Oxford Police for processing. Following his processing, Rivera was arraigned at the Oxford District Court, where he was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
Authorities remind the public that charges remain allegations at this stage and that Rivera, like all defendants, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
