Arrest

OXFORD, PA — An Oxford man, accused of breaking into an apartment and physically assaulting a woman, was taken into custody in Philadelphia on February 12, 2024, according to the Oxford Police Department.

Christopher Connor, 35, was reportedly involved in a domestic disturbance on the 200 block of South Third Street in Oxford. Police were dispatched to the scene at 4:02 P.M. on February 9, 2024, following a report of the incident.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the female victim, who alleged that she had been threatened by Connor during a verbal dispute the previous day. On the day of the reported disturbance, Connor is said to have returned to the residence, kicked in the apartment door, and physically assaulted the woman. The victim had injuries that supported her account of events.

Connor had already left the scene before police arrived, and his whereabouts were initially unknown. An arrest warrant for Connor was subsequently issued by the Oxford District Court on February 10.

On February 12, Connor was located and arrested in Philadelphia. He was then transported by constables to the Chester County Prison.

Connor is facing charges of making terroristic threats, committing simple assault, engaging in criminal mischief, harassment, and related offenses.

As always, it’s important to note that these charges are allegations. Connor, like all individuals facing potential criminal charges, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
