WEST CHESTER, PA — Authorities in West Chester have announced the arrest of a New York resident in connection with a reported theft incident that was initially investigated late last month.
According to the West Chester Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Gay Street in West Chester Borough on February 24, 2025, at approximately 1 a.m., following a report of a theft. After conducting a detailed investigation, police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Giga Gvelesiani of New York.
Gvelesiani was apprehended on March 15, 2025, and subsequently taken into custody for processing at the police department. Following standard procedures, the suspect was released after being charged with one count of theft by unlawful taking.
Authorities have not specified additional details about the nature of the alleged theft. Police stress that all individuals charged are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
