DOVER, DE — Delaware State Police have taken 36-year-old Samuel Seymour into custody following the execution of a search warrant that led to his arrest on felony drug charges. The warrant was carried out on October 31, 2024, at an apartment located in Dover Estates on Webb Lane, after a comprehensive five-month investigation by the Kent County Drug Unit and the Kent County Governor’s Task Force. Authorities allege that Seymour was involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics from the residence.
During the operation, detectives claim Seymour attempted to dispose of narcotics by discarding them out of a window. Despite this, he was apprehended without incident. The ensuing search of the apartment and Seymour’s vehicle revealed a significant quantity of drugs and related items, including approximately 862.56 grams of powder cocaine and 31.92 grams of crack cocaine. Investigators also uncovered a digital scale, various drug paraphernalia, and $3,930 in cash, suspected to be proceeds from drug activities.
Seymour now faces serious charges, including two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance at a Tier 3 level, tampering with physical evidence, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Following his arrest, he was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and is currently held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a cash bond of $122,400.
As the investigation continues, it is important to remember that all details may evolve, and Seymour is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
