OXFORD, PA — On the night of May 28, 2024, at 11:41 PM, the Oxford Police Department responded to a report of criminal mischief at a residence on the 200 block of Beaumont Drive. Officers spoke with a female victim who stated that Daniel Naylor, 19, from Maryland, had allegedly tried to break into her home.

According to the victim, Naylor broke a window with a rock and was seen by neighbors attempting to kick in the front door. Naylor fled the scene before officers arrived but was found shortly afterward in the neighborhood. He was taken into custody, processed at the Oxford Police Department, and then transferred to Chester County Prison by Constables.

The charges against Naylor included burglary, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, harassment, possession of alcohol by a minor, and other related offenses.

Naylor was arraigned, and his bail was set at $7,500 with a 10% option. A preliminary hearing on June 4, 2024, at the Oxford District Court resulted in the withdrawal of the burglary charge. All other charges were held to the Court of Common Pleas.
