BEAR, DEDelaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington man in connection with a robbery that took place at a 7-Eleven in Bear late last year. Authorities identified 28-year-old Shaquille Campbell as the suspect in the case.

The incident occurred on December 23, 2024, at approximately 7:49 p.m. when state troopers responded to a reported robbery at the convenience store located on Pulaski Highway. Upon investigation, police determined that a male suspect had approached an employee inside the store, demanded the cash register be opened, and threatened the employee by implying he was armed. The employee complied, and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

After extensive investigative efforts, Troop 2 Robbery Detectives identified Campbell as the individual allegedly involved in the crime. Authorities located him in Deerfield Beach, Florida, where he was apprehended with the assistance of the Broward Sheriff’s Office V.I.P.E.R. team and the First State Fugitive Task Force.

Campbell was extradited to Delaware on the evening of February 6, 2025. He has since been charged with Robbery First Degree and Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, both of which are felony offenses. Campbell was arraigned in Delaware’s Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution under a $66,000 cash bond.

Officials emphasize that these charges are allegations and not a determination of guilt. All defendants, including Campbell, are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Further details about the case have not been released at this time.
