PARKESBURG, PA — The Parkesburg Borough Police Department arrested Gabriel Alvarado-Thomas on July 8, 2024, following a warrant issued for his arrest earlier this year. He was subsequently transported to Chester County Prison. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled at the Parkesburg District Court.

The arrest stems from an investigation in Highland Township. Authorities allege that in April 2023, Alvarado-Thomas possessed and discharged a loaded handgun from a roadway in the 100 block of East Highland Road in Coatesville. Police indicate that Alvarado-Thomas is legally prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm and does not hold a valid permit to carry one.

The case has drawn attention due to the nature of the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the firearm discharge. The Parkesburg Borough Police Department has been working diligently to address the incident and ensure community safety.

As with all criminal cases, these charges are allegations. Alvarado-Thomas is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
