Arrested

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A local man was taken into custody in the early hours of December 5, following allegations of making terroristic threats during a domestic incident. The arrest occurred in the 100 block of N. Walnut Street, Kennett Square Borough.

According to the Kennett Square Police Department, officers responded to a call around 12:13 AM about a verbal dispute between a male and a female. As the situation escalated, the male suspect, later identified as 34-year-old Fernando Beltran-Andrade, allegedly attempted to engage in a physical altercation with another individual outside the residence.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with two males who claimed that Beltran-Andrade had threatened them. They alleged that he said, “If you say something, I’m going to kill you” and physically shoved both of them. The victims expressed that they felt threatened and fearful, and requested that charges be filed against Beltran-Andrade.

Beltran-Andrade was subsequently arrested and transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison. Charges filed against him at District Court 15-3-04 include one count each of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and harassment. The case is currently pending a preliminary hearing.

These charges are allegations, and Beltran-Andrade is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The police department continues its investigation into this incident.
