Kennett Square Man Arrested in Connection to Assault and Theft Allegations

Arrested

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Police in Kennett Square have arrested 34-year-old Cesar Sanchez in connection with an alleged assault and theft incident that occurred earlier this year. Sanchez was taken into custody on Saturday, December 7, 2024, on the basis of an arrest warrant issued in July.

The charges stem from an incident on June 9, 2024, when officers responded to a midday emergency call and found Sanchez with an arm injury. Police determined the injury had occurred about an hour earlier, though Sanchez reportedly declined to provide details at the time. Later that same day, officers received a report alleging an assault against a juvenile male, which had allegedly taken place around 11:30 a.m. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his early twenties.

Following an investigation and interviews with the victim, Sanchez was charged with several offenses, including aggravated assault, simple assault, robbery, theft, and criminal mischief. The arrest warrant was subsequently issued by District Court 15-3-04.

Authorities emphasize that these charges are allegations and that Sanchez, like any defendant, is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
