KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Police in Kennett Square have completed an investigation into a reported theft at a local facility on the 100 block of Race Street. The incident, which occurred on November 7, 2024, involved the alleged theft of valuable items from an unlocked locker.
According to law enforcement, a juvenile is accused of taking an Apple iPhone 13, a MasterCard, and a pair of Apple AirPods. The stolen items were reportedly discovered damaged in a different location within the building after the alleged incident.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the facility that appeared to show a female juvenile exiting the locker room and concealing items in her waistband. Additionally, the footage reportedly showed the individual holding what seemed to be two cell phones and a white AirPods case before running into a bathroom, where the damaged items were later found.
Following a thorough investigation, police filed a juvenile allegation on January 16, 2025, which includes theft-related charges. The case has been forwarded to Chester County Juvenile Probation for further handling.
Officials remind the public that all parties involved in this case are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Further updates may follow as the case progresses.
