KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A male juvenile is facing multiple charges after an altercation with police on March 6, 2025, in Kennett Square. Authorities allege the incident occurred when officers responded to a call regarding a juvenile in possession of a THC vape on the 100 block of E. South Street.
According to the Kennett Square Police Department, officers arrived at the scene at approximately 10:45 a.m. and engaged with the juvenile. During the interaction, the juvenile allegedly lunged from his chair and approached an officer in what was described as a threatening manner. Officials believe the actions suggested intent to strike the officer, who was seated across the room at the time.
Following the incident, police reported that the juvenile was in possession of marijuana and drug-related paraphernalia. On March 17, 2025, a Juvenile Allegation was filed at Chester County Juvenile Probation. The allegations include charges of simple assault, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators have not disclosed additional details about the juvenile involved due to privacy considerations.
Authorities emphasized that all suspects, including juveniles, are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
