Juvenile Assault Leads to Charges in Kennett Square

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A physical altercation involving two female juveniles has resulted in multiple charges being filed against one of the individuals, according to the Kennett Square Police Department.

The incident occurred on February 28, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m., in the 100 block of E. South Street within Kennett Square Borough. Police responded to reports of a confrontation and subsequently reviewed video footage that shed light on the sequence of events.

According to authorities, one juvenile appeared to provoke the conflict, confronting the other while the second individual kept her hands in her pockets. The situation escalated as the instigator repeatedly pushed the other juvenile before taking her to the ground and striking her multiple times. The fight was eventually stopped, but not before physical violence had occurred.

Following an investigation, a juvenile allegation was submitted on March 18, 2025, to the Chester County Juvenile Probation Department. The instigator now faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and disorderly conduct in connection with the incident.

Officials emphasized that these charges are allegations, and the juvenile is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
