HARRISBURG, PA — A Pike County magisterial district judge is facing criminal charges following allegations of inappropriate conduct at a local barber shop.
Paul Menditto, 70, of Bushkill, was charged with one misdemeanor count of indecent assault and two summary counts for harassment and disorderly conduct. The allegations stem from an incident on August 2, 2024, at a barber shop in Milford.
According to investigators, Menditto was at the establishment for a haircut when he allegedly kissed a female employee on the neck without her consent. The alleged incident, which was reportedly witnessed by multiple individuals in the shop, prompted an investigation led by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General Dave Sunday condemned the alleged incident, stating, “The alleged conduct is egregious and unlawful for anyone — let alone a sworn officer of the court who presides over criminal matters.”
Menditto was charged on Friday and released on his own recognizance. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Rachael Coleman.
Authorities have emphasized that these charges are allegations, and Menditto is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
