PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are actively searching for a suspect in connection with two alleged gunpoint robberies at a Cricket Cell phone store in Northwest Philadelphia.
According to police reports, the most recent incident occurred on January 12, 2025, at 12:26 p.m. The suspect allegedly entered the store, located at 200 W. Chelten Avenue, and committed the robbery at gunpoint. Surveillance footage shows a dark-colored Nissan SUV parking behind the store before the suspect entered. Following the alleged robbery, the individual exited through the back door, re-entered the vehicle, and drove away. The suspect was last seen in the vicinity of Pulaski and Coulter Streets.
Investigators have also linked the suspect to a similar gunpoint robbery at the same Cricket Cell phone store on December 4, 2024.
The suspect is described as a Black male wearing black jeans, a heavy jacket, gloves, and boots. He was carrying a large backpack marked with a white tag on its back. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a black or grey Nissan SUV, with noticeable damage to the rear passenger wheel well.
Authorities urge the public not to approach the suspect if spotted but to contact 911 immediately. Confidential tips can also be submitted by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or texting the same number.
Officials emphasize that all allegations remain unproven at this time, and the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
