WEST CHESTER, PA — The Chester County District Attorney’s Office, Chester County Detectives, and West Vincent Township Police Department have identified the man found on June 18, 2023, in West Vincent Township, as 32-year-old Rolando Blanco-Duartes, of Brooklyn, New York. This victim was found in the 2300 block of Eagle Farm Road, Chester Springs, deceased, wrapped in plastic, and lit on fire. The victim’s family has been notified and confirmed the identification.
This matter remains under criminal investigation with the assistance of multiple police agencies. Investigators have determined that the victim was fatally shot in Brooklyn, NY, and later transported by car to Chester County. There are no known connections to any party involved in the county. Law enforcement believes this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.
“The Chester County Detectives and other agencies worked around the clock to identify the victim and track down all available evidence. They continue to work with their law enforcement partners to investigate the people responsible for this horrific crime,” stated Chester Count District Attorney Deb Ryan. “As always, we are extremely proud of their tireless efforts and dedication in serving our community. Although this crime initially took place in New York, we will continue to provide assistance to get this victim and his family justice.”
