WILMINGTON, DE — Two men are facing criminal charges following a series of alleged offenses that concluded with their arrests on January 17, 2025, in Wilmington.
According to police, the Safe Streets Task Force was patrolling the 800 block of West 8th Street around 10:39 a.m. when a traffic violation was observed. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle in question, but it reportedly fled the scene. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle was located near Delaware Avenue and North Washington Street, where the occupants were apprehended without incident.
Authorities identified the suspects as 28-year-old Dre’Quille Brickhouse and 38-year-old Darrell Robinson. During the arrest, officers reportedly recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, .9 grams of crack cocaine, and 28 grams of marijuana.
Brickhouse has been charged with multiple offenses, including two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, as well as disregarding a police officer’s signal and other traffic violations. He is being held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $16,000 cash-only bail.
Robinson faces charges including two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited and possession of a controlled substance. He is being held on $10,200 secured bail.
Officials underscore that these charges are allegations, and both individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Further updates may be provided as the case develops.
