High-Stakes Bust: Four Nabbed in Wilmington Gun and Drug Sweep!

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have announced the arrest of four individuals following an operation led by the Safe Streets Task Force on November 1, 2023. The arrests took place in the 2700 block of North Market Street as officers attempted to make contact with a suspect wanted on outstanding charges.

During the operation, officers apprehended 19-year-old Muhammad Means from Bear, Delaware, without any incident. In the course of the arrest, authorities reportedly discovered 2.22 grams of heroin, along with a loaded .45-caliber handgun and a loaded .380-caliber handgun. Subsequent to this, three other individuals, identified as Quadir Warren, 20, Leroy Miles, 19, and Juaquin Miller, 18, were also detained without resistance.

The charges against Means include possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, and possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 2 quantity. Means was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is currently held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a cash-only bail set at $26,000.

Similarly, Warren and Miles face charges of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Both were also arraigned and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution, each with a $20,000 cash-only bail.

Miller has been charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. His bail was set at $10,000 cash-only upon arraignment.

It is essential to note that the charges against the four individuals are allegations. Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
