WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested two men in connection with a burglary that occurred on March 31, 2025, marking the conclusion of a swift investigation spanning two days.
Officers from the Uniformed Services Division responded to reports of a burglary in the 1100 block of West 9th Street at approximately 4:48 p.m. Upon arrival, they gathered a description of the suspect vehicle, which was promptly relayed to officers in the area. The vehicle was soon located on the 900 block of North Pine Street, leading to a traffic stop where 50-year-old Nakia Davis was taken into custody without incident. A second suspect fled the scene on foot.
Following additional investigation, police identified the second individual as 36-year-old Robert Chandler and issued warrants for his arrest. On April 1, at approximately 6:15 a.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of East 9th Street, where Chandler was apprehended without incident.
Davis faces charges including Third-Degree Burglary, Theft Over $1,500, Second-Degree Conspiracy, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $5,100 unsecured bail.
Chandler is charged with Third-Degree Burglary, Theft Over $1,500, Second-Degree Conspiracy, and Resisting Arrest. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further legal proceedings.
