PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect linked to a reported commercial burglary at The Foodery Store, located at 837 North 2nd Street.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division, the incident occurred in the early hours of January 15, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m. The suspect is alleged to have broken the front door glass to gain entry into the store. Once inside, the individual reportedly stole several packs of cigarettes before leaving the scene.
Police say the suspect was later seen boarding a SEPTA bus, and video footage from the bus is now being used in the investigation.
The suspect is described as a Black male with a thin build, wearing a distinctive black hooded coat with a multicolored camouflage-like panel on the back. He was also wearing blue pants, white sneakers, and carrying a gray and white bag.

Authorities emphasize that criminal complaints and allegations do not equate to guilt, and suspects remain innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
