PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect allegedly involved in a theft from a closed business in Center City earlier this month.
The incident occurred on March 13, 2025, at approximately 7:40 a.m., when an individual entered a business located on the 1300 block of Chestnut Street through the rear entrance. Officials report that multiple items were taken during the alleged theft, and the suspect fled the scene before law enforcement could intervene.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division has released details in hopes of generating leads. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black Essentials hoodie paired with jeans. Authorities have also distributed photos of the suspect to aid in the identification process.
The police advise anyone who sees this individual to avoid approaching him and to call 911 immediately.
