PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities in Philadelphia are seeking information from the public as they investigate the fatal shooting of a 44-year-old man on a highway in the early hours of Saturday, February 1, 2025. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit has released a video of the suspect and is working to identify and locate the individual.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:54 a.m. in the area of 30th and Page Street. Police report that the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was fatally shot under circumstances that remain under investigation. A suspect described as a Black male in his mid-to-late 40s with a medium complexion, average build, bald head, and full beard was captured on video near the scene of the incident.

Authorities believe the suspect was last seen in the vicinity of 31st and Norris Street and may frequent the area around 22nd and Lehigh Avenue. Officials have issued a reminder to the public to avoid approaching the suspect if seen, and instead, contact emergency services immediately by dialing 911.

The City of Philadelphia has offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction related to this case. Additionally, the police urge anyone with information about the crime or the suspect’s whereabouts to report tips confidentially.
