Have You Seen Him? Police Urgently Search for Suspect in Attack on 12-Year-Old Girl

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Authorities are investigating an alleged sexual assault involving a young girl and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual involved.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 11:24 a.m. on March 20, 2025. The 12-year-old victim was reportedly on the 200 block of E. Salaignac Street when an unknown man approached her. It is alleged that the man sexually assaulted the girl before attempting to persuade her to enter a vehicle parked on the block.

The suspect is described as a Black male, estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old, wearing a gray and black checkered hooded sweatshirt, dark pants with a white emblem on the left leg, and black and white sneakers. Police have also provided details of a vehicle associated with the suspect, believed to be a white SUV, potentially a 2018 Kia Sorento. Its license plate number is currently unknown.

Law enforcement has urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid approaching the suspect if spotted. Instead, individuals are encouraged to promptly dial 911.
