NEWARK, DE — Authorities are requesting assistance from the public in locating a suspect accused of involvement in a February 8, 2024 incident, described as Theft by False Promise.
According to the Newark Police Department, the alleged incident occurred at a business on the 300 block of East Main Street, where the suspect reportedly received payment for agreed-upon paint work that was never completed. After accepting payment, the individual reportedly ceased communication with the business.
Following an investigation, police obtained an arrest warrant for 45-year-old Edmond Triplett of Wilmington. Triplett faces charges of Theft by False Pretenses in connection with this case and is also wanted for a Violation of Probation related to a prior Home Improvement Fraud offense.
Despite efforts to locate Triplett, police have so far been unsuccessful. Authorities are now turning to the public for information about his whereabouts.
