Gun, Drugs, and Cash Bail: Two Men Nabbed in Major Wilmington Drug Bust

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested two individuals on drug-related charges following a targeted investigation into alleged illegal drug activity in the city.

The investigation, conducted by the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division, focused on the 400 block of North Church Street. On March 13, at approximately 8:27 a.m., officers executed a search warrant at the location, leading to the arrests of 42-year-old Brandon Harris and 52-year-old Kevin Harris. Both men were taken into custody without incident.

During the search, police confiscated a 9mm handgun, 371 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Brandon Harris faces several charges, including two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, and additional offenses related to drug paraphernalia and conspiracy. He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and is currently held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $16,200 cash-only bail.

Kevin Harris was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, and related offenses. He was arraigned and released after posting $8,200 cash-only bail.

Authorities stress that both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
