WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington man has been arrested in connection with a series of thefts at All Saints Cemetery that spanned several months in late 2024 and targeted bronze ceremonial vases from gravestones.
Mark Worley, 32, was taken into custody on March 9, 2025, after turning himself in to Delaware State Police Troop 2. Authorities had been investigating multiple thefts that occurred between September and November 2024 at the cemetery on Kirkwood Highway.
According to investigators, four individuals allegedly trespassed onto the cemetery property after hours on multiple occasions, stealing nearly 200 vases worth over $100,000 in total. The suspects are believed to have transported the stolen items in backpacks or large bags before fleeing in a car parked nearby.
Three suspects in the case, identified as Thomas Hudson, Ashley Newcomb, and Alonza Mosley, were arrested on February 19, 2025, at a Newark residence. Worley was named as the fourth suspect, and troopers obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Worley is facing charges for theft of property valued over $100,000, selling stolen goods on multiple occasions, conspiracy, theft from a cemetery, and additional offenses. Following his arraignment, he was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $68,100 cash bond.
The allegations remain under investigation, and the accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
