WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested Milton Stevens, 40, in connection with a series of alleged gun and drug offenses. The arrest occurred in the early hours of November 11, 2023, when officers from the Uniformed Services Division responded to a report of a suspicious individual on the 800 block of North Market Street.
Upon their arrival at approximately 4:40 a.m., officers attempted to engage with a male suspect, who subsequently fled the scene on foot. Following a short pursuit, Stevens was taken into custody without further incident. A search revealed he was allegedly carrying a loaded 8mm handgun and a significant quantity of controlled substances, including 277 Alprazolam pills, 5 Xanax pills, 54 Oxycodone pills, 14 Morphine pills, and 16 Amphetamine pills.
Stevens faces multiple charges, including two counts of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and eight counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Additionally, he is charged with Resisting Arrest, alongside an outstanding warrant.
Following his arraignment in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas, Stevens was remanded to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution. His bail has been set at $16,500 cash-only. It is important to note that, as with all allegations, Stevens is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
