Drug Complaint Leads to Arrest of Wanted Individual in Coatesville

COATESVILLE, PA — The City of Coatesville Police Department has announced the arrest of Josiah Robertson Sr. of Coatesville on an outstanding warrant.

The criminal complaint alleges that on September 3, 2023, at 6:42 p.m., Coatesville Police were dispatched to the intersection of North Third Avenue and Lumber Street for a drug complaint. The anonymous caller advised that a group of individuals were at that location meeting passing cars and possibly selling controlled substances. Upon arrival, police observed one of the males who fit the description leaving the location. An officer began to speak with the individual, who fled on foot between houses across the 200 block of East Chesnut Street and behind a residence, before being caught on East Diamond Street,

The apprehended individual was identified as Josiah Robertson Sr. who was found to have an active arrest warrant. He was transported to the Coatesville Police Department and then constables transported him to Chester County Prison.

In addition to the warrant, Robertson has been charged with flight to avoid apprehension and additional related offenses.
