NEW CASTLE COUNTY, DE — Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Safe Streets Task Force recently announced multiple arrests following separate investigations into alleged drug distribution activities in the county. These investigations, initiated in the fall of 2024, resulted in significant drug seizures and criminal charges against three individuals.

Dontae Sutton, 32, of Newark:
On January 17, 2025, detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on the unit block of Fairway Road. Authorities allege Sutton was in possession of 2.3 pounds of marijuana, 28.3 grams of THC wax, and related packaging materials. Sutton was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and two other related offenses. He was released on $6,100 secured bail following his arraignment.

Dwayne McIntyre, 43, of Wilmington:
On January 21, 2025, law enforcement conducted a search of McIntyre’s residence on the 200 block of West 29th Street. Detectives reportedly uncovered 155 grams of crack cocaine and 21 grams of heroin/fentanyl, equivalent to an estimated 707 baggies. McIntyre faces multiple felony charges, including possession with intent to deliver controlled substances. He was unable to post $51,000 secured bail and is being held at the Howard Young Correctional Institution.

Joshua Branch, 23, of Townsend:
Earlier in the month, on January 9, 2025, detectives searched a residence on the 400 block of South Street, where authorities claim they found 4.5 pounds of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Branch has been charged with several felonies, including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and was released on $16,100 unsecured bail.

All three investigations remain ongoing. Law enforcement officials emphasize that these arrests are part of efforts to combat alleged narcotics distribution in local communities. They also stress that all charges at this stage are allegations, and each defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
