NEWARK, DE — The Delaware State Police have arrested 28-year-old Jonathan Santiago Valle of New Castle, Delaware, following an investigation into alleged large-scale narcotics distribution.

On February 14, 2025, troopers from the Delaware State Police Troop 2 Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Creek Lane in Newark. Officers from the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team supported the operation, which was initiated after an investigation into Santiago Valle’s suspected role in drug trafficking.

During the execution of the warrant, Santiago Valle arrived at the property in a white Honda Accord and was taken into custody without incident. A subsequent search of the residence and vehicle uncovered significant evidence, including approximately 12.82 grams of crack cocaine, 14.18 grams of fentanyl, and $2,259 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

Santiago Valle was transported to Troop 2, where he was formally charged with multiple felony offenses. These include possession of controlled substances at Tier 2 and Tier 3 quantities, as well as intent to deliver or manufacture controlled substances. Following arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11, he was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $74,000 cash bond.

Law enforcement officials stress that these charges remain allegations, and Santiago Valle is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
